You still have those jeans you wore to sing karaoke at Winnie’s down in Chinatown. Your mother still has hers from the first time she saw Depeche Mode at the Forum.

You love good jeans because they love you; they hug every contour and respond to every neural transmission of attitude sent from your brain to your lower extremities.

The jean jacket, however, has always been the clunky sidekick. Boxy. A tad stiff. Never quite saying the right thing.

This version, considerably longer, feels more London than Longhorn, more like Biba circa 1967. Long and fitted. Slenderizing on all shapes. Also 100% cotton denim, so no one can say you aren’t legit. The wash and color are exceptional, and the longer length makes it far less annoying to put your hands in your pockets (no more searching around to find those tiny slits on your rib cage).

Long Denim Jacket (No. J5970). Stone-and-enzyme-washed pure denim. Antique brass shank buttons down the front and on the sleeve cuffs, the chest pockets, and the epaulettes. Loving and shapely fitted style that flares out to a subtle A-line at the sweep. Patch pockets with flap at the chest and angled-welt pockets at hips. Slightly curved hem. Imported.

Please Restock!

I was very interested in this jacket as well. My only hesitation was the product description mentioned epaulettes, which I didn’t want. However, the photo didn’t show them as far as I could see. So, I emailed customer service and they kindly responded “that detail in the description is an error” — the jacket does not have epaulettes. Yay!
I jumped online to buy it, only to learn that my size (along with any other size that *may* have possibly fit) was sold-out. :(

Please make more (without epaulettes)!

Missed it

I bought this and it was too small by a smidge. I loved it and wanted to keep it but tried to exchange it. . . too late, none left in my size. I hope it will be brought back.
