1960s French Dispatch Cyclist Jacket (No. 7226) in mid-weight cotton twill. The original was created in leather for WWII French dispatch cyclists. Later adopted in lightweight cotton indigo for civilian life. Shorter length (above waist) perfect for cyclists or motorcyclists. Two large easy-access slanted patch pockets at chest. One interior patch pocket. Double-needle stitching throughout. Flat-felled seams. Washed and faded to match a vintage sample found in a Paris flea market. Elasticized waistband with extended tab hem. Imported.
