It’s no accident that you’re thinking back to vintage Hawaiian shirts (or aloha shirts). You won't be surprised to know our version here was based on those iconic originals.
Some sources say the first aloha shirts were created by a Japanese tailor, Koichiro Miyamoto, who lived near Waikiki beach around 1936.
Now, you can't do a half turn on a beach or boulevard in the summer without seeing some version of the those early shirts.
Of course, Montgomery Clift wore it better than just about anyone ever has or ever will, even without the benefit of Kodachrome.
Imagine what you can do with all this color.
The From Here to Eternity Shirt (No. J8245). In gorgeous, airy 100% rayon fabric, with a print lifted from a 1930s Japanese kimono. Short sleeve, with an easy, boxy fit. Two rounded chest pockets. Resort style collar with self-loop closure.
