Nothing fancy.

But nothing better. How do I know? It's the shirt that beat the Nazis. A chic utilitarian reminder of the first time women "officially" served in the US military (350,000 of you). Building submarines. Flying planes. Translating. Even spying, like Virginia Hall did. The women's liberation movement may have hit its stride in the 1970s, but it started in 1940.

Women's Military Shirt (No. 6558). Classic 6.5 oz. cotton twill khaki shirt with shoulder epaulettes, two front chest pockets, shell buttons, and point collar. An excellent layering piece, but substantial enough to be worn as a light shirt jacket. Double-needle stitching. Trapunto stitching at the collar and under the placket. Two-button barrel cuff. Garment-dyed and washed for a vintage look and feel. Imported.

*Model is 5' 10" and is wearing a size extra small.
