 In Paris in the 1920s, when everything was much better than anything is now, although that is a sentiment that the nostalgia’d intelligentsia voices regularly, there was an establishment where everything was actually better—the patrons, the fashion, even the cocktails (some say this is where the Bloody Mary and the French 75 were invented).
