Western Tuxedo Jacket
Product Details
The Western Tuxedo.
1885. Anson, Texas. The weekend before Christmas.
Local residents and cowboys converge on the Star Hotel for the first Cowboys’ Christmas Ball. Men are required to check hats and spurs at the door.
Dance music pours out from two fiddles, a bass violin, and a tambourine.
Couples take a turn around the room dancing the Square, the Heel-and-Toe Polka, Virginia Reel, the Paul Jones, the waltz.
The night is such a wild success that (minus a few stops and starts), the event has continued through the years.
If you hold a ticket to the next ball, you’ll want to wear this.
Be sure to check your hat (and your spurs) at the door.
